The amazing new neighbors hired Angel and his crew. They used our front yard to park their bucket truck, and access the trees from our yard. Angel, the foreman, was amazing and did a great job. “Vema Tree Service approached us a week ago (we had never heard of them) asking if we needed tree work. We did: two old 100' fir trees to come down, and five tree stumps to grind. Their bid was good, which we knew since we've been hiring other tree services for decades, and I do some tree work myself. We agreed on a price and they were scheduled to arrive this last Monday, which they did. The entire crew was excellent, doing careful work, including not damaging adjacent trees and shrubs. They were able to get their crew here the next day, and take down some very high and thick oak branches that were overhanging my house. He responded very quickly, got his gear on and was on his way up the tree in no time. The cat did not make it easy. Ran another 30’ up to the top when Edgar approached. “I’d like to give a shout out to Vema Tree Service. They are very professional, fast, and friendly. Our cat was 60+ feet up in a tree and not coming down. We tried everything from the fire department (which does not get cats out of trees. That’s urban legend), to putting food out, to spraying water, to calling arborists. Most arborists don’t do it or charge a huge fee ($600) and still don’t guarantee getting the cat down. The gentleman from the company came immediately, climbed up the tree, and had the cat in my arms within a half hour.”

They quoted us with a reasonable price to remove a large tree and stump in the backyard and trim/skin our palm tree in the front. They were able to come and do the work later in the week. “I contacted Vema Tree Service for a free estimate for tree trimming on the Friday before Labor Day weekend. Edgar, who I believe is the owner, came to our house on that same day and provided a free estimate. He was very professional, polite and thorough. He said they could do the job on Tuesday after Labor Day. I contacted him on Labor Day to let him know that he got the job. He called me back promptly and told me his crew would be there before noon on Tuesday. His crew of three arrived early on Tuesday and trimmed multiple trees (a couple that are very tall) on my property. The crew was super professional, courteous, thorough, and proficient. They had lots of equipment including their own wood chipper. They were very attentive to our instructions on what we wanted done and asked multiple times for us to inspect the job during the trimming process to ensure we were satisfied or if there was anything they were missing. When they finished and confirmed we were satisfied with the job, they thoroughly cleaned up the front, back and sides of the house. “I just got home from work. Nice! Five massive trees completely gone! Three were overhanging my new outbuilding and septic leach field. They lowered everything by rope that could possibly damage my leach field. I’m not sure, but I believe they placed the tops of trees that they lowered, over anything utilities or septic lines that could possibly get damaged? Seems like a technique? The first morning, I met the Forman who was a polite and engaging. After discussion, I was convinced that I didn’t need to be around. I left for work and didn’t miss a bit of income for my own business having to babysit another contractor. These guys run a tight ship. My $ is well spent. I’m glad to be a customer and hope they are available when I have the next 15-20 tons of trees cut down. Also, I have lots of landscaped pathways and other structures, all are left perfect, not a blemish. These guys treated my place better than anyone.
